Meet the Nitrogen Team

The nitrogen team studies nitrogen. They are studying concentrations of different forms of this important nutrient to determine where it goes—to animals that float or swim in the water, or to animals that live on the bottom. They will use the CTD instrument. They will also use stable isotopes to help track material as it moves through the ecosystem. And they will take samples on the ice and incubate samples on ice.
