Meet the Seabird Team
A pair of seabird observers will be on the Healy to watch for birds. They’ll be recording all the birds they see, and the mammals, too. The team will watch for birds during daylight hours. Some scientists hope to be able to use seabirds as indicators of change in the North Pacific and Arctic oceans; this data will help with that effort.
