Meet Andy Heiberg

Andy Heiberg
Principal Engineer, University of Washington Polar Science Center

Andy Heiberg provides logistics support for arctic and antarctic research programs sponsored primarily by the Office of Naval Research and the National Science Foundation. He coordinates the acquisition and scheduling of ships and planes and the construction and maintenance of research ice stations and base camps. Andy has been to the Arctic 5,668 times, more or less.
